First Generation (2003-2008)
The first generation Infiniti FX35s was manufactured during the period 2003-’08 in only one trim level. At that time, it was powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that churned out 275 hp of power with a unique exhaust growl. The engine was matched with only a 5-speed automatic transmission. It also comprised with standard
• Antilock disk brakes,
• Stability control system, and
• Traction control system.
Cabin of the Infiniti FX 35 contained both luxurious and sporty, and attractive aluminum trim. The additional traditional features include
• Reclining rear seats,
• Power-adjustable front seats,
• Cruise control,
• A six-speaker CD stereo, and
• HID headlights.
It was also included with many optional features such as 20-inch wheels, 11-speaker Bose audio system, a sport-tuned suspension, intelligent cruise control, Lane Departure Alert, while the Technology Package had a navigation system, and many other items. The navigation system was featured as a stand-alone choice, and entire cabin had leather upholstery.
Current Infiniti FX35
The present generation Infiniti FX35 entered in the market in 2009. It has longer nose and shabby grille and new fender vents.
Some modifications have been made under the skin. The current Infiniti FX35 has a 3.5-liter V6 engine that bumps the power level up to about 303 horsepower. And, it is matched with a new 7-speed automatic transmission.
It is also added with plenty of optional and standard technological features. They are Distance Control Assist included with throttle and braking in heavy traffic and a hard-drive-dependent navigation system to save music files, and the navigation system, which also offers real time traffic information too.
The car is offered in only one trim level that is designed with either AWD or rear-wheel drive pattern. Some of the noteworthy specs are

• 18-inch alloys,
• A back-up camera,
• Leather upholstery,
• Bose surround-sound audio system with a six-CD changer, and
• Satellite radio.
The customers are allowed to choose the optional packages such as
• An adaptive cruise control,
• Bluetooth connectivity, and
• An advanced navigation system.
The Infiniti FX35 looks very sleek and has sporty performance. Along with the nimble EX35 and the Infiniti G35 sport sedan, the FX35 shares its design platform, and several minor features. One of the key advantages is its ample safety and technology oriented gadgetry. One of downsides is that it has is congested space at rear side of the seats than its competitors.
